Welcome to Scripps Ranch Cub Scout Pack 1216!
Thank you so much for stopping by our site. We are located in the heart of Scripps Ranch and meet at Miramar Ranch Elementary School. The Pack is divided into Dens organized by grade level (K-5). All of the scouts, leaders and parents get together monthly for a Pack Meeting, where the Cub Scouts participate and see that they are part of something more than just the Den. Each Den meets twice a month plus outings crafted to help the scouts achieve the next rank. Each grade level has a new rank to earn. The activities (called adventures) within the rank requirements are age-appropriate and designed to achieve the aims of Scouting: citizenship, character development, personal fitness, and leadership - all while learning new things and having fun!

We're committed to delivering the Scouting program with the Cub Scout method of living the ideals (of Scouting), belonging to a den, advancement, family involvement, activities, serving the community and (wearing) the uniform. Our Pack has three to four family campouts each year, where the scouts not only have a great time with family and fellow scouts, but learn valuable skills as well as how to be responsible in the outdoors. Additional camping opportunities are given to 4th and 5th graders (these are the Webelos dens) to prepare for transition to Scouts BSA in the 6th grade. Throughout the year, we also plan several hikes, perform community service, have fun Pack events, have a pinewood derby and hold an annual fishing derby! Cub Scouting is fun for the whole family, where boys and girls start with their best right-now selves and grow into their very best future selves. It's fun hands-on learning and achievement that puts kids in the middle of the action, preparing them for today and for life!
